ESP8266 WiFi Color Kit: keeps rebooting

Question

I recently purchased ESP8266 WiFi Color Kit but it keeps on rebooting after showing "Formatting file system.

It was able to get DHCP IP from my home wifi but it just keep on rebooting.

Please help!

Are you on ESP8266 Arduino-core 2.4.2 as per https://docs.thingpulse.com/guides/wifi-color-display-kit/#install-the-esp8266-toolchain? Did you set Tools > Flash Mode select "DIO" and
 Tools > Flash Size select "16M (15M SPIFFS)"?
