ESPaper image moved to bottom/left

Question

One day after getting a new ESPaper display the displayed image moved some pixels to bottom/left.

Even the WIFI configuration screen is moved (therefore and because my other devices show the correct image, I assue my server provides valid data).

Power off/on and even uploading the firmware again does not resolve the problem.

What could be the reason for this issue and how can I solve it?

After switching off the ESPaper display for about 1h30 and turning it on again everything works fine again.
Is there any known reason for this behaviour?

None that I'm aware of, I have not seen that behaviour before.

I have code for SolarEdge monitoring too, I update my data every 15-mins to keep inside SolarEdge access restrictions to the API.
