Grayscale rendering

Is there a way to paint grayscale (i.e. more shades than just perfect black & white) on the eink display of this device? If there is, is there also a code snippet for this?

The short answer is: no, it's just a b/w display.

Yet, there are images circulating around the internet of developers emulating 4-bit gray scale mode somehow. We will certainly look into this at some point. If it turns out to be reasonably well integrateable into our driver/projects we will share it with our customers. However, it is not highest on our priority list.
