How to install esp8266-weather-station-color

Question

Hello, I just got my first kit (https://blog.squix.org/product/esp8266-wifi-color-display-kit-2-4)

Followed this guide, only guide I could find, https://blog.squix.org/weatherstation-guide

Could not get it to work and I think it is because the guide is for another display.

I could not find the other one in the libraries.

I am new to programming, github and Aurdino. So how do I add the color one?

Have you checked the sticker on the box? There is a link to this (admittedly short) guide:

Yes, but that guide only handles the assembling for the kit and step 7 links to the software guide and that guide is not for the color version. And then step 8 says to download https://github.com/squix78/esp8266-weather-station-color/ but nothing about how to install that.

Step 8 actually also mentions that the README on https://github.com/squix78/esp8266-weather-station-color/ contains all information to setup the software. Have you followed the README there?

The only README I can find there is this:

and it does not say anything about how to install the software?

Just to recap, I have soldered the hardware, the color kit. Need now to install/configure/run the software.
Only guide I can find is for the kit with the OLED display, not for the Color Display TFT?
