is there any esp8266 variant which runs on 5V instead of 3.3V, as i am struggling to put esp-01 in  circuit together with 5V relay switch, esp hangs when i try to pull the relay switch high or low. I am trying to find out if theres any esp chip out there which runs on 5V instead of 3.3V.

Thanks in advance

As far as I know there is not a bare chip which runs with with 5V on the GPIO pins. Would you need is a logic level shifter like this one: https://www.banggood.com/Logic-Level-Converter-Bi-Directional-IIC-4-Way-Level-Conversion-Module-p-938774.html?p=6R31122484684201508S

This takes 3.3V on one side and converts it to 5V on the other side. They work both ways. With a module like this you can make 5 periphery like your relay work with 3.3V MCUs like the ESP8266
