Hi There,

seems as if my ESPaper 4.2 got caught by a Virus. (sadly no good joke nowadays, I know)

I just get week signs of life from the device. When I plug in the USB-to-Serial converter ("programmer") and set the baudrate to 74880 it shows, depending on button pressed:

ets Jan  8 2013,rst cause:1, boot mode:(3,7)

ets Jan  8 2013,rst cause:1, boot mode:(3,0)

That's it!

Screen does not change, still shows last update from 12.02.2020.

Any suggestions to reanimate the patient are highly welcome!

These errors suggest a faulty power source, or flat battery, did you check the power source?

This was caused by a misbehaving ESP8266 module in the device; likely a dead flash. We replaced it.
