I swapped my Wi-Fi router out and the 2.4 GHz network is now under a different SSID. However, I can't make the ESPaper board connect to it!

Everything I've tried fails.

I don't know what is wrong. Is there any way to log output or get a status? I've tried numerous WPA(2) key combinations and SSID names and it has no differing effect.

To add a few further details— SSID and password are set via code (in settings) but I tried via the configuration mode as well. It seems like the setting changes aren't taking effect, but I have no idea. In the Arduino IDE, I set it to flash everything (incl. the Wi-Fi settings) not just the sketch.

I switched back to the old router and it works again after I reuploaded the software to restore the prior Wi-Fi settings. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the 20/40 covariance settings on the Wi-Fi?

I don't know. When you initially stated that the WiFi connection couldn't be established I was going to suggest you try the WiFi scanner example from our starter kit tutorial (https://docs.thingpulse.com/guides/iot-starter-kit/). It's a good measure to assert that the WiFi hardware in the chip is working at all.

Are you sure it’s a 2.4Ghz capable router? many new routers are dual-band and need 2.4GHz to be enabled.  It used to be the other-way around!

This turned out to be due to a bizarre routing issue.
