Battery defect on ESPaper Plus Kit?

Question

Hi,
I ordered a "ESPaper Plus Kit" in february. Order #217 (2018-02-17)
But it seems, that the battery is not ok. Fully charged, the kit is only
working for less than 12 hours. Then the kit shows a grey display.
I have then to connect ist to a power source an then switch off an on
again. The battery charge indicator then shows about 25%.
Could you please help me?!

Would it be possible that you post a photo of the grey display here (maybe by using some photo clipboard service, etc)? Did you have a look at the serial output of the device? Does it really go to sleep? There is a testing mode where it will not sleep and hence consume a lot energy. In that case the battery might last about 12 hours...
